NKR recruits volunteer for sending to Armenia
About 200 residents of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) have responded to the call to join a volunteer squad to support Armenian militaries in the Tavush Region.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the total count of victims of the July 12-13 shelling attacks on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border made 13 people. Armenia reported shelling of the village of Chinari in the Tavush Region by Azerbaijani militaries. Azerbaijan announced Armenia's serious military losses.
The youth party "United Civil Alliance" has announced recruiting of volunteers to be sent to the Tavush Region. The party wrote on the Facebook that the Armenian Army had prevented "another provocation" in the Tavush Region.
"More than 200 volunteers have responded, mainly from party members and supporters; we recruit only young people into the squad, who had passed their mandatory military service and proved to be good fighters," said Aram Arutyunyan, the leader of the "United Civil Alliance" Party.
He has added that "tension may start on the border of Artsakh (the historical name of the NKR) and Azerbaijan."
"Therefore, we find it necessary to form a volunteer combat detachment, and, if necessary, move to the frontline," Mr Arutyunyan has concluded.
