Chechen authorities allocate 10 million roubles on Kadyrov orders and medals with diamonds

The authorities of Chechnya, which is a subsidized Russian region, has allocated 10.2 million roubles for orders and medals named after Akhmat Kadyrov. The awards should be made of gold and decorated with precious stones, as it follows from the public procurement website.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in December 2019, the State Institution "Centre for Supporting the Administration of the Head and Government of the Chechen Republic" placed an order for the manufacture of 20 orders and medals of gold and precious stones named after Akhmat Kadyrov, for which 4.6 million roubles from the budget of Chechnya was allocated. That is, each award was then estimated at 230,000 roubles.

On July 20, the committee for state orders of the government of the Chechen Republic posted on the public procurement website an application for the purchase of 15 medals named after the first President Akhmat Kadyrov and 15 orders of Kadyrov. Each award will cost 340,000 roubles from the Chechen budget; and the total cost thereof will be 10.2 million roubles.

It is noteworthy that Chechnya is one of the ten most subsidized regions in Russia. In 2019, subsidies to Chechnya made 50% of the regional consolidated budget revenues.
