Court refused to put 54 Borozdinovskaya residents on trial as co-claimants to the Ministry of Defence

The Presnenskiy Court of Moscow has refused to bring into court as co-claimants 54 more persons under the suit on compensation of moral damage to residents of Chechen village of Borozdinovskaya lodged against the Ministry of Defence. Initially, the suit was filed by 42 residents of Borozdinovskaya who claimed to collect 126 million roubles from the MoD in connection with a special operation held in their village. On Monday, advocate Ramzan Rajabov lodged a petition to attract 54 more residents as co-claimants.

"We claim to collect from the MoD a compensation of moral damage for 54 residents of the village in the sum of 108 million roubles," the lawyer said. The MoD's representative has stated that these claims are not subject to satisfaction, and the court upheld his position, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

At night on June 4 to 5, about 100 of unidentified persons from power agencies deployed in Chechnya raided Borozdinovskaya killing one person and kidnapping 11 more residents.
