In Troitskoye, woman claims no information about her husband detained after CTO

Leyla Gagieva appealed to human rights defenders with a request to help reveal the whereabouts of her husband. On August 23, the man was detained after a special operation conducted in the Ingush village of Troitskoye. Since then, the woman is not aware of where her husband is being kept and what charges are being brought against him, the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 23, three persons were killed during the counterterrorist operation (CTO) conducted in the village of Troitskoye in the Sunzha District. The day before, those suspects asked the spouses, the owners of the house, to let them spend the night at the house. On August 28, Leyla Gandaloeva (Gagieva), an owner of the household, said that after the special operation, law enforcers detained her husband and did not allow visiting him.

On September 1, Leyla Gagieva, a resident of the Troitskoye village, appealed to the HRC "Memorial". The woman reported that her husband Ruslan Gandaloev was detained by FSB agents, presumably, on suspicion of aiding and abetting the militants on August 23.

Leyla Gagieva told the human rights defenders that she had repeatedly appealed to the FSB with a request to inform her where her husband was being kept and when he would be released. The woman was told that her husband's case would be taken to court, but the law enforcers refused to let her know where he was being kept. No one else contacted Leyla Gagieva, and she is not aware of what exactly her husband is accused of. As of September 2, the woman does not know anything about her husband's exact whereabouts, the HRC "Memorial" reports on its website today.
