Muftiate of Chechnya curses "Charlie Hebdo" for caricatures of Prophet Muhammad
Today, Salakh Mezhiev, the head of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of Chechnya, has reacted with curses to the re-post of the caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad by the French satirical magazine "Charlie Hebdo".
On September 2, the caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad were posted in the "Charlie Hebdo". On the same day, that fact was reported by the Instagram public account "ChP Grozny_95" with a photograph of a fragment of the French magazine's cover. The cover indicates that those are the same caricatures that had been made public in January 2015.
Chechen Mufti Salakh Mezhiev reacted sharply to the re-post of the caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad by the magazine "Charlie Hebdo". "This is not just another irresponsible act of the editorial staff of the magazine that goes beyond all moral and ethical principles, but a well-planned attack by the West on Islam and the entire Muslim community, which can result in new human victims," Salakh Mezhiev claimed in his statement posted on the Instagram page of the Chechen SAM today.
The Muftiate of Chechnya cursed the editorial board of the French magazine "Charlie Hebdo". "On behalf of the entire Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Chechen Republic, we curse you, shaitans, satanists. <...> You are very dishonourable, mean people, you are two-legged creatures, because you cannot be called animals, since they [are] not guilty and innocent. <. ..> You burn in hell! Damn you!" says the Muftiate's publication.
