Kadyrov denies involvement of his adviser in disappearance of Chechen resident Umarov
Magomed Baituev, an adviser to the leader of Chechnya, declares that he is not involved in the situation with the fate of Movsar Umarov, who disappeared after his detention. The duties of Magomed Baituev are not related to the activities of the law enforcement bodies, Ramzan Kadyrov notes.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a mother of Chechen resident Movsar Umarov said that he was detained for viewing the blog of Tumso Abdurakhmanov, well known for criticizing the authorities of Chechnya. The woman believes that Movsar Umarov fell victim to an extrajudicial killing. The claims of the law enforcement bodies about the escape of Movsar Umarov are unconvincing, since nothing is reported concerning the punishment of the warders who guarded the detainee, former officers of the law enforcement bodies note.
An order to make Movsar Umarov disappear came from the authorities of Chechnya, authors of the "1ADAT" Telegram channel claimed. They compared the fate of Movsar Umarov to the death of Khizir Yezhiev, a teacher from a Grozny institution of higher education.
Magomed Baituev, the adviser to the leader of Chechnya, claims that "every member of the Kadyrov's team is ready to take up arms and carry out any order voiced by the leader of Chechnya." However, these orders "never go beyond the legal field and the people's interests," the official says.
In their comments on Instagram, some social network users criticized the adviser to the leader of Chechnya. "What will you prove when they force a same Chechen native to sit on a bottle? The Kadyrov's associates have played too much, and they are a shame of Chechnya," wrote user isaisaev693, while mentioning the humiliation of Salman Tepsurkaev.
