Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh report heavy fights in conflict zone

The situation remains tense; fierce battles are going on in all directions, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) reports. Nagorno-Karabakh has confirmed the tense situation on the frontline.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this morning Nagorno-Karabakh's information headquarters announced three downed aircrafts of the Azerbaijani Air Force. According to the headquarters, the Azerbaijani losses in manpower have exceeded 3000 people.

The Karabakh MoD has reported about battles along the entire contact line. "The Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Defence Army managed to suppress an enemy's large-scale attack launched today. Our forces counterattacked in one of the directions. Heavy defensive battles are underway in the remaining sections of the frontline," Mr Stepanyan wrote on the Facebook today.

The Azerbaijani MoD has confirmed the information about fierce battles, but refused to confirm the downed aircrafts.
