Putin urged to stop fighting in Karabakh conflict zone

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for an end of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh in order to exchange casualties' bodies and prisoners of war; he also invited the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan to come to Moscow for consultations.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that battles have been going on in the Karabakh conflict zone since September 27, during which dwelling settlements in Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan have been shelled.

"After telephone conversations with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Russian President calls for an end to hostilities in the Karabakh conflict zone for humanitarian reasons," Putin has stated on the website of the Russian Presidential Administration.
