School work resumed in Stepanakert

Russian peacemakers have demined the territory of one of the schools in Stepanakert; they have also resumed the heat and electricity supplies thereto, after which the school has resumed its work. During the last 24 hours, 2115 refugees returned to Nagorno-Karabakh.

The school opening ceremony was attended by Russian peacemakers, local administration and schoolchildren. The work of the school was stopped in late September after the aggravation of the Karabakh conflict, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported on its website today.

Prior to the restart, sappers examined the school territory for the presence of explosives; peacemakers also restored the supplies of electricity and heat, and delivered school property. Other educational establishments will reopen in Stepanakert in the near future, the above website says.

Russian militaries have escorted another convoy of buses with refugees to Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenia, the MoD has stated in another press release. The buses delivered 2115 people to Nagorno-Karabakh, the MoD's website wrote in the evening on November 27.
