Vasilevsky, Ivan Nikolayevich
Head of Temryuk County Administration, Krasnodar Region.
Born May 16, 1956, in the Cossack settlement of Taman, Temryuk County, Krasnodar Region, in a peasant family of many children. In 1963, went to school No. 9 in Taman. Upon completion of eight grades, became a worker at Tamansky viniculture sovkhoz. In September 1971, entered Anapa Agricultural Technical College, which he finished in 1975, receiving a qualification of Fruit, Vegetable, and Grape Agronomist.
Upon completion of studies in the college, worked as a viniculture brigadier in Tamansky sovkhoz. In November 1975, was mobilized to the Soviet Army. Finished his military service in USSR Embassy in Beijing. Demobilized in December 1977 and continued his work in Tamansky sovkhoz as a viniculture brigadier.
In 1984, graduated from Kuban Agricultural Institute (distant studies), receiving a diploma of an agronomy scientist. In 1980, I.N. Vasilevsky was appointed entomology agronomist of Tamansky sovkhoz; became the division head of this farm in 1981.
In 1983, was transferred to work as agronomist-in-chief of Yantar sovkhoz, Temryuk County, and two years later, in 1985, was appointed the Director of this farm. In 1988, I.N. Vasilevsky was elected the Director of Fanagoriysky viniculture sovkhoz, a leading grape and wine producing enterprise in the county and Kuban Region.
On March 4, 2001, I.N. Vasilevsky was elected the head of Temryuk County by absolute majority of votes.
Married, two daughters.
