Social media users argue about guilt of Malika Djikaeva, scandalous North-Ossetian blogger

The audio record of the interrogation speaks in favour of investigators' version about use of drugs by the Instagram blogger, Malika Djikaeva, some social media users have noted. Their opponents insist that the drugs had been planted by Chechen law enforcers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 11, a court in Grozny sentenced Malika Djikaeva to three years in colony. She refused to plead guilty to drug possession. Two examinations confirmed that she had not used drugs, her advocate has stated. The girl's relatives are sure that the drugs had been planted on her in order to punish her for her shocking video clips.

On December 14, in an Instagram video, Malika's mother asked Ramzan Kadyrov to "have mercy" and help in freeing her daughter from arrest in Chechnya. Social network users expressed bewilderment at mother's apology to the head of Chechnya.

A record has appeared in social networks, in which a female voice allegedly belonging to Djikaeva says that she had regularly used a drug with a narcotic effect for about a year. "I was on the brink. I got divorced, my husband left, and I lost my child," says the woman.

Facebook users believe that Djikaeva's verdict is based on the intention to suppress her activeness in social networks.

Malika Djikaeva gained fame in social networks after posting shocking videos, which can be painfully perceived by Muslims; however, they contain no direct attacks on Islam, Orientalists have pointed out.
