Two residents of Chechnya publicly repent for addressing a witch
After talking to a theologian, two young men from Chechnya repented of having turned to a sorceress in Dagestan for help. Some Instagram treat public reprimanding of offenders as unethical.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the summer of 2019, Chechen authorities intensified persecution of the people who render occult services. The witch hunting resulted in the persecution of their clients; and in February and March 2020, the sons of the detained women repented on TV that they had not duly supervised their mothers.
The above two men were stopped when entering Chechnya from Dagestan, says the Instagram of the "Grozny" TV Channel.
"They had an iron lock, the charmed water and many other suspicious objects with them. In a talk with the police, it turned out that they had visited the neighbouring republic for the services of sorcerers. Their unanswered feelings had pushed them to do so," the Instagram plot says.
One of the men, Said-Akhmed Ataev, "wanted to return his divorced wife."
