Sources present details of murder at gathering in Dagestan
A resident of the dwelling settlement of Tarki has died in hospital after being stabbed during a people's gathering to discuss the murder of an activist on Tarki-Tau Mount, a Dagestani law enforcement source has informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 3, a 23-year-old activist, Vali Abduragimov, who had tried "to unite the settlement's jamaat against drug dealers" and claimed a former law enforcer's involvement in illegal circulation of forbidden substances, was killed on the slope of Tarki-Tau Mountain in Makhachkala. After the murder, residents told about a mass brawl in Tarki, a dwelling settlement that is a part of Makhachkala.
As a result of a mass brawl that broke out in Tarki, one person was killed, a Dagestani law enforcement source has informed. "On Wednesday evening, in the settlement of Tarki (Makhachkala), there was a mass brawl; according to preliminary data, one person died from a stab wound," the TASS has quoted the source today.
The source has explained that people gathered in order to discuss the murder of an activist on Tarki-Tau Mount. "At the gathering, residents discussed the forced eviction of a local resident whom the deceased activist called one of the main drug dealers. A conflict broke out, and a mass brawl took place; according to preliminary data, one residents was stabbed and later died," the source has explained.
A scuffle with policemen occurred at the residents' gathering. Then, people began dispersing, but suddenly a brawl broke out again, in which about 10 Tarki residents took part. As a result, two men were stabbed; one of them died in hospital, the "Dagpravda.ru" has reported today, adding that law enforcers have detained seven people.
