34,000 people left homeless in Nagorno-Karabakh

The conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh has been followed by a humanitarian crisis, and a programme for the resettlement of refugees has been launched in the region, announces Mane Tandilyan, Minister for Employment, Social and Migration Issues of Nagorno-Karabakh. 8000-10,000 premises are needed to accommodate people who lost their homes as a result of the war.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that over 40,000 people were left homeless in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of the war. The Minister for Employment, Social and Migration Issues has provided temporary housing for over 4000 people.

The main problems are the resettlement of refugees and security, the "Sputnik Armenia" quotes Mane Tandilyan as saying.

Nagorno-Karabakh has launched a programme to provide housing for people who lost their homes as a result of the war, the Nagorno-Karabakh Minister for Employment, Social and Migration Issues wrote on Facebook. According to Mane Tandilyan, at present, the authorities are being engaged in solving the housing problems of residents of rural communities in the Askeran, Martuni, Martakert, and Shusha District. Houses will be handed over to the villagers after renovation and with furniture, and the people will also get the opportunity to be engaged in agriculture.

Earlier, it has also been reported that over 100 schools were closed and 1764 teachers were left without work after the war in Karabakh.
