Azerbaijani combat engineer blown up by a mine in Nagorno-Karabakh

Today, 39-year-old Elmeddin Mirzoev has been injured during mine clearance in the Agdam District, and doctors had to amputate his foot, the Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan reported.

On January 29, Elmeddin Mirzoev, the head of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), was injured in his foot after being blown up by a mine, the APA reports. The combat engineer was sent to Agdam District to search for unexploded ordnances.

Not only Azerbaijani military personnel are injured as a result of explosions of mines and ammunition in Karabakh. Earlier, two Armenian rescuers were injured in an explosion near the town of Megri, where they were conducting a search for the remains of the dead.
