Navalny's office coordinator tells details about attack on him in Makhachkala
After his beating up in Makhachkala, Ruslan Ablyakimov, an activist, filed an application to the police. The attack is connected with the announcement of the opening of Navalny's office in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, Mr Ablyakimov said.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on February 20, the Telegram channel "Navalny's Team" reported about the attack on Ruslan Ablyakimov, the coordinator of Navalny's office in Makhachkala. Before the attack, Ablyakimov reported that he was shadowed.
Ruslan Ablyakimov flew to Makhachkala to open Navalny's office, and he associates the attack on him with this fact. "It was not some random incident. They knew that I had flown from Moscow and what I was going to do here," Mr Ablyakimov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
He has added that he did not feel safe. "I need some more time to come to my senses. And then, after consulting with my management, we'll decide what to do next," Ruslan has explained.
Among the attackers there were no those who shadowed him these days, Ablyakimov has specified. "I was with two acquaintances. We stood and looked at the city. At some point, seven or eight young men approached me, knocked me down and began beating me up," he said.
"They said that I have time until tomorrow (February 20, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") to leave Dagestan. They also wanted to push me down the mountain, but at some point they changed their mind," Ruslan Ablyakimov has concluded.
