Agvan language

The literary language of the ancient Caucasus Albanians, its monuments are a few fragmentary inscriptions of the 6-8 centuries from the western districts of Azerbaijan. Recently they started to decipher the inscriptions. The similarity of Agvan alphabet to that of Georgia and Armenia enables to consider it one of the kinds of Aramaic literacy altered according to the principles of Greek. The statistic structure of the Agvan text, the contents and the sound parallels of the alphabet (it has 52 letters), some facts of the Agvan language preserved in Armenian and Georgian literature (names of the months, personal names, some grammar forms) enable to think that Agvan language is the ancient form of Udin language or some closely related Dagestan language.
