Police rescue hostages in Vladikavkaz
Today, hostages have been taken in a clothing store in Vladikavkaz. The police detained a suspect, who threatened with an explosion, and the hostages were not injured, sources from the law enforcement bodies report.
Today, in Vladikavkaz, an unknown man has burst into the clothing store “Dostup” (Access), located in the area of the “Druzhba” (Friendship) cinema, and took people hostage. According to the preliminary information, the suspect had an explosive device with him, while there were 11 people in the clothing store, the “Ossetia News” reports with reference to a source from the law enforcement bodies.
The hostage-taker claimed that he had 10 kg of explosives with him. According to the source, nine people were taken hostage.
The police who arrived at the scene detained the suspect within 10 minutes. When the policemen examined his bag, it turned out that it contained a dummy explosive device, the “360” TV Channel reported.
None of the hostages was injured.
