Woman from Nalchik blames developer of trying to destroy her house and seize land plot

The workers engaged in the demolition of dilapidated houses in Nalchik have damaged the nearby house owned by Tamara Tlevasova, a local resident. The house was deliberately damaged in order to later recognize it as an emergency structure and alienate the land plot, Tamara has stated in her complaint addressed to the Public Prosecutor of Kabardino-Balkaria.

Tamara Tlevasova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that on April 12, construction equipment – an excavator and KAMAZ trucks arrived at Kalinin Street and began to demolish the houses from which the tenants had earlier been resettled. In doing so, the machines damaged her house.

She has added that one of the men who commanded the demolition of the houses called himself a developer's representative and suggested that she "get out of here in the near future." "He threatened me that my house would be recognized as an emergency one by the interdepartmental commission, and I would be forcibly evicted from it. And today, at the door of my apartment, I found a paper reading that on April 19, the above commission will examine the condition of my house," Nina Tlevasova has concluded, suggesting that the damage to her house was not accidental. She believes that now they want to evict her in order to free the land for building an apartment house.
