Unvaccinated residents of Grozny complain that pharmacists refuse selling drugs to them

In Chechnya, some pharmacies refuse to serve the customers who have no vaccination certificates against coronavirus. Pharmacy workers explained that they had received such instructions from their bosses.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that residents of Chechnya are forced to get vaccinated under threats of evacuating a car, denying medical care or issuing documents.

According to Rasul, a resident of Grozny, on July 2, a pharmacy refused to sell some medicine to him. “I have no certificate, I wasn’t vaccinated, and I’m not going to. So, I left,” he said.

"They won’t let you into state institutions without a vaccination certificate; they refuse to take you to hospitals; and now in some pharmacies you can’t buy drugs without a certificate ... If this goes on, people will die not only from Covid-19, but also because they can’t buy the drugs they need. These are, apparently, the very tough measures against those who don’t want to get vaccinated, as Ramzan Kadyrov had spoken about, "said Khamid, a local resident.

"We do what our hostess said. She has banned to sell drugs to those who have no vaccination certificates against coronavirus. They say that there will be secret checks; and if the ban is violated, a pharmacy may be closed," said Zarema, a pharmacist, who works in a pharmacy in Grozny.
