Court allows comic Mirzalizade’s return to Russia
The Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow has suspended an order of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) on a life-long ban on the return to Russia of ethnic Talysh Idrak Mirzalizade.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on August 30, the Russian MIA imposed a life-long ban from entering Russia for ethnic Talysh Idrak Mirzalizade, a citizen of Belarus. Prior to the MIA’s decision, stand-up comic Idrak Mirzalizade, a resident of Moscow, served 10 days of arrest for his public joke about xenophobia. On September 7, it became known that Idrak Mirzalizade had appealed against the ban on entry to Russia.
After his release, Idrak Mirzalizade left Russia and went to Belarus. It is assumed that on August 29, he flew from Minsk to Turkey. Meanwhile, the exact whereabouts of Idrak Mirzalizade was unknown, the “Gazeta.ru” reported on September 7.
The Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow has postponed the entry into force of the Russian MIA’s order on the undesirability of the Idrak Mirzalizade’s stay in Russia until the entry into force of the court’s decision, the RBC reports today with reference to the press service for the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow.
The above information has been confirmed by Sergey Badamshin, an advocate of Idrak Mirzalizade, the TASS reports today.
