In Chechen village, "Edinaya Rossiya" wins less than 1% of votes
In the village of Koren-Benoy, Nozhai-Yurt District of Chechnya, the "New People" Party has won the elections to the Russian State Duma. Only 0.92 percent of the village voters cast their ballots for the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party, the local election commission has reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ramzan Kadyrov has won 99.7% of the votes at the election of the head of Chechnya, breaking his own 2016 record, when he gained 97% of the votes. In the republic as a whole the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party at elections to the State Duma gained 96.13% of votes.
According to the website of the Chechen Central Election Commission (CEC), the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party has won 0.92% (two votes) at precinct election commission (PEC) No. 457, which is located in the village of Koren-Benoy, Nozhai-Yurt District. Most of all, 95.41% (208 votes) received the "Novye Lyudi" (New People) Party. According to the PEC, there are 231 voters in this village.
Having studied the data posted on the website of the Chechen CEC on elections to the State Duma, the "Caucasian Knot" has noticed the fact that at one more PEC the "Edinaya Rossiya" has won less than 50 percent of the votes – this is PEC No. 510 in the Urus-Martan District, the ruling party has 48.81% of the votes (531 voters), while 22.43% (244 voters) cast their ballots for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF).
