Witnesses in Adjamatov's case fail to meet investigators' expectations

Parviz Akhmedov, another prosecution witness, has stated at trial that the testimonies in the case materials against Alikhan Adjamatov, a native of Dagestan, accused of aiding terrorists, had been falsified.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 13, a court in Moscow began considering the case of Alikhan Adjamatov, a Moscow doctor of Dagestani origin. Adjamatov denies the charges of financing terrorism and claimed to the court that the money transfers that figure in the case materials were not intended for terrorists; one of them was a payment for medicines.

On September 16, four prosecution witnesses were questioned in the court. One of them, Solikhov, completely rejected his testimony against Ajamatov given at the preliminary investigation.

On September 30, at a court session in Moscow, Parviz Akhmedov, a prosecution witness, stated that on January 24, 2020, he had not slandered Ajamatov; and his then testimony was falsified. Akhmedov only recollected that he was given some documents to sign that he had been acquainted with the indictment, and a pre-trial agreement, which ultimately never took place.
