After scandal with maroon berets, Chechen law enforcers granted cars by Akhmat Kadyrov Foundation

After the exams in the Stavropol Territory, two fighters of the Chechen Department of the National Guard of Russia got not only the right to wear maroon berets, but also Mercedes Benz cars from the Akhmat Kadyrov Foundation. The Chechen Press Minister explained that the fighters received the expensive gifts as an award for passing the exams impeccably.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that special forces fighters of the Special-Purpose Centre “Vityaz” claimed the law enforcers from Chechnya had been undeservedly granted the right to wear maroon berets. In contrast to military ranks, the right to wear maroon berets was usually granted deservedly, so the injustice caused a sharp reaction from the militaries, experts note.

Sergey Lysyuk, the head of the “Vityaz” Brotherhood of Maroon Berets, reported that a relative of the leader of Chechnya had been removed from the exams. The law enforcers believe that if Ramzan Kadyrov does not punish the violators, he will provoke a sharply negative attitude towards himself in the army.

The “Grozny” TV Channel reported that the seven Chechen fighters of the National Guard of Russia, who received maroon berets, “showed the highest level of combat and physical skills.”
