Saakashvili’s associates announce an indefinite rally near prison

After visiting the third president of Georgia in prison, an advocate has reported that Mikhail Saakashvili is not able to stand on his feet and think coherently on the 36th day of his hunger strike. The leader of the “United National Movement” Party has announced an indefinite protest action in front of the prison in Rustavi.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that starting from October 1, former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili has been on the hunger strike in the prison in Rustavi. The former president of Georgia demands to release him. On November 4, advocate Nika Gvaramiya reported a serious deterioration in the health state of Mikhail Saakashvili.

“The state of health affects the mental well-being and thinking ... The Mikhail Saakashvili’s condition cannot be attributed to a slight deviation from the norm: he stays in a severe condition,” advocate Nika Gvaramiya said on the air of the “Mtavari Arkhi” TV Company.

According to the advocate, Mikhail Saakashvili is no longer able to control the situation, but he does not admit that he feels bad and needs help.

Nika Meliya, the leader of the “United National Movement” (UNM) Party founded by Mikhail Saakashvili, made a request to transfer Mikhail Saakashvili to a civil clinic.

“This is an inhuman government that has been mocking the former president on hunger strike for 35 days,” Nika Meliya said. He called the leaders of the ruling party, including Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, “ordinary killers,” waiting for Mikhail Saakashvili to die.
