About 5500 refugees arrive in Rostov Region during a day
During a day, about 5500 refugees from Donbass have arrived in the Rostov Region, border guards report. A day earlier, about 5000 residents of eastern Ukraine passed through border checkpoints.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on February 18, the evacuation of refugees from Donbass began, and by February 28, the number of refugees exceeded 127,000.
Over the past 24 hours, about 5500 refugees have arrived in the Rostov Region through border checkpoints, the press service for the FSB Border Guard Service Department for the Rostov Region reports today. “Over the past 24 hours, about 5500 citizens evacuated from the territory of the Donbass republics crossed the border through checkpoints,” the “Interfax-Yug” quoted the FSB Border Guard Service Department for the Rostov Region as reporting. A day earlier, about 5000 people crossed the border, the “Interfax-Yug” reports.
As of March 2, more than 6300 refugees stayed in 95 temporary accommodation centres (TACs) in the Rostov Region, and more than half of them were children, the Department of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) for the Rostov Region reported on the same day.
