During awards ceremony, Chechen law enforcers do not name those killed in Ukraine
In Chechnya, the authorities awarded fighters of the National Guard of Russia, who participated in the special military operation in Ukraine. According to the report prepared by the “Grozny” ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company), during the ceremony, awards were also handed over to relatives of those who perished in Ukraine, but their names were not disclosed.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Ramzan Kadyrov regularly reports about sending detachments of volunteers to Ukraine and posts video reports prepared by commanders of the Chechen law enforcement forces stationed there. On May 5, Ramzan Kadyrov reported about sending to Ukraine another detachment of 200 fighters.
Chechen employees of the National Guard of Russia, who distinguished themselves during the special military operation in Ukraine, were awarded on May 9, the “Grozny” ChGTRK reports today. The ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Sergey Zakharov, Commander of the North-Caucasian District of the National Guard of Russia, Hero of Russia Adam Delimkhanov, a State Duma member, and other top-ranking officials.
According to Sergey Zakharov, the troops of the North-Caucasian District of the National Guard of Russia are carrying out tasks to participate in the special military operation, which, unfortunately, does not come without casualties. “The acts that your sons, your brothers, our brothers have done will forever remain in our hearts. Their names will forever be inscribed in the personnel lists of the National Guard, and we will do everything to immortalize their memory," said the Commander of the North-Caucasian District of the National Guard of Russia.
The video only briefly showed the moment when Sergey Zakharov and Adam Delimkhanov approached two women in dark robes and an elderly man. The young woman had flowers in her hands. Sergey Zakharov hugged the elderly man. The video report did not disclose the names of the awarded and the dead.
