Opposition holds a protest action in Yerevan metro

Today, supporters of the “Resistance” movement have held a rally in the Yerevan metro, calling on passengers to join the rally demanding the resignation of the Armenian Prime Minister.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since April 25, the Armenian opposition has been holding rallies, marches and motor rallies, demanding not to admit a change of the status of Nagorno-Karabakh and resignation of Nikol Pashinyan's government. Thus, on May 11, the “Resistance” opposition movement organized several motor rallies in Yerevan, and their participants called on city residents to come to a rally demanding the resignation of the Armenian Prime Minister. Fifteen activists were detained for failure to obey the police.

Today, the participants of the protest action in Yerevan have entered one of the metro cars, pasted a large sticker with a portrait of Nikol Pashinyan on the floor, and stood on it. The activists were chanting: “Armenia without Nikol!”

“Thus, we have expressed our protest in the metro today. Armenia with Nikol and our dreams are incompatible. He must leave so that we live, dream, be happy, plan wedding and birth parties, travel around the regions of Armenia, speak Armenian, and remain Christians,” wrote on her Facebook page Kristine Vardanyan, a deputy from the “Hayastan” opposition faction, a member of the ARF “Dashnaktsutyun” Party.
