Pyatigorsk resident fined for damaging sign Z on Mashuk
Dmitry Syomin, who has damaged the Z sign established on Mount Mashuk in Pyatigorsk, was found guilty of discrediting militaries and fined.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 4, administrative liability was introduced for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces, after which Russian residents, including those in Southern Russia, began being prosecuted under this article.
"I destroyed the letter Z out of my own motives; I had no idea to discredit the Russian Army," the 29-year-old Syomin has stated, adding that he has pleaded guilty at trial and had no intent to appeal against the judgement.
Let us remind you that on May 29, a video was posted, in which Ramazan Suleimanov, a native of the city of Gudermes, asked to forgive him for damaging the Z sign on Mount Mashuk. He was charged with petty hooliganism and sentenced to 10 days in custody.
