Resident of Volgograd Region accused of discrediting militaries

The case of Eduard Safronov, a resident of the city of Volzhsky, accused of discrediting the Russian Army, has arrived in the court.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 4, 2022, administrative liability was introduced for discrediting the armed forces, after which Russian residents, including those in the Volgograd Region, began to be prosecuted under this article. Thus, on August 13, the court received 22 cases under the above article against Vitaly Gotra. According to 12 protocols under the article on discrediting the Russian Army, he was fined by a total of 360,000 roubles.

The case on the fact of public actions aimed at discrediting the Russian Armed Forces against Eduard Safronov will be considered on October 26. Let us note here that for citizens the maximum penalty under this article is a fine of 50,000 roubles.
