Activist detained in Krasnodar

Andrei Rossiev, an activist, has been detained in Krasnodar after a search.

The investigative actions against him have to do with the "fake" articles about the Russian Army and about incitement of hatred or enmity through the Internet with the threat of violence.

Andrei himself informed the human rights project "OVD-Info" about the search. Nothing was seized form him during the search conducted by law enforcers. Now, they are going to take him to Nizhny Novgorod for interrogation.

According to the "Mediazona"** outlet, earlier in August, a court in the Nizhny Novgorod Region imposed a fine of 300,000 roubles on Andrei Rossiev under the articles on justifying terrorism on the Internet and inciting hatred because of his comments posted on the "VKontakte" social network.

The "Caucasian Knot" has earlier reported that on November 7, a court found Tigran Nikogosyan guilty of discrediting the Russian Army and ordered him to pay a fine. On the same day, a court in Sochi fined the blogger, Anna Kolmagortseva, by 30,000 roubles, after finding a video clip posted in her Telegram channel as discrediting the army. Kolmagortseva herself has stated that the fines imposed on her were almost four times her monthly income.
