Court in Rostov-on-Don denies compensation to contractor for his wound in Ukraine
The Vladikavkaz Garrison Court has refused to satisfy the claim of Shamil Chupanov, a military serviceman, who demanded a certificate of his wound in Ukraine in order to receive the due compensation. The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don has also denied Chupanov.
According to his story, Ensign Chupanov came under fire on March 14 and took his medical treatment in Ukraine. In May, he was admitted to hospital, where he was declared unfit for service for two weeks, but at the same time it was stated that Chupanov had received his wound before March 14, and he tried to deceive the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in order to receive compensation, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project has written.
According to the court, Shamil Chupanov was contused and was treated until May 1, 2022, in Melitopol, but since he was not provided with the necessary medical care there, he was transferred to a permanent deployment point in Vladikavkaz. However, no medical documents were issued to him.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that in November 2022, Corporal Sergey Frolov filed a repeated lawsuit with the Volgograd Garrison Military Court about non-payment of monetary allowance for his participation in the military operation in Ukraine. The court has already obliged the military unit to pay out the debt, but the money has not been accrued, Sergey Frolov has stated. For the delay in the payment of monetary allowances, the military is entitled to receive compensation, a lawyer has pointed out.
