After chatting, Sochi resident fined for discrediting Russian Army

The court has fined a resident of Sochi, whom the police detained at his work after he wrote in a chat on what was happening in Ukraine, the human rights project "OVD-Info"* has reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that administrative responsibility for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces was introduced on March 4, 2022. The maximum punishment for citizens is a fine of 50,000 roubles, but a repeated violation within a year implies already criminal prosecution.
