Chechen villager repents to Kadyrov for criticizing local authorities

In his audio message, Movladi Mutaev, a resident of the village of Verkhniy Naur, complained to Ramzan Kadyrov about the local authorities, not involved in solving the problems of the village. Later, a video appeared on the Internet in which Movladi Mutaev apologized for his words to the leader of Chechnya and “the rest of the Muslims.”

According to the “Kavkaz.Realii”*, the man has complained that the local authorities unreasonably charge villagers for the supply of water, electricity, and gas, although those services are of poor quality. The villager complained to Ramzan Kadyrov about Chechen MPs, who promised to solve the problems of the villagers and left, and the work on laying the power grid was then stopped. Movladi Mutaev also noted that the heads of administration do not deal with the problems of the local population, but are only engaged in issues of their own enrichment and intimidation of ordinary residents.

At the same time, the villager has also added that the local authorities do not follow the “path of Akhmat” and proposed his candidacy for the post of the local leader: “Put me here, and I will bring the ‘Stalin regime’ here,” promised the man, reminding Ramzan Kadyrov of their personal acquaintance.

However, later, Movladi Mutaev apologized for his words. “I said too much, I was wrong. I’m not a man to be responsible for my words,” he says in the video.

Complaints voiced by residents of Chechnya have repeatedly led to the consequences not expected by the authors of the complaints. So, in April 2020, Zara Tepsurkaeva, a resident of the village of Gekhi, addressed the leader of Chechnya, complaining that she did not have a chance to purchase food. Valid Abdureshidov, the head of the Urus-Martan District, said that the leader of the republic “was not obliged” to feed them, and Zara Tepsurkaeva herself admitted on the air of the “Grozny” ChGTRK (State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) that she should not have addressed the leader of Chechnya.
