Court refuses to conduct examination of Zarema Musaeva's health

The defence has failed to present documents stating that Zarema Musaeva needs hospital treatment, the court in Grozny has decided and refused to order a medical examination of her health condition.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 11, Alexander Savin and Alexander Nemov, the advocates for Zarema Musaeva, filed a petition asking to conduct an examination of her health. They explained that her health was "rapidly deteriorating," and an examination was needed to decide on her hospitalization.

The court has dismissed the petition requesting an examination of Musaeva's health condition, the "Team against Torture" has reported in its Telegram channel.

Let us remind you that on May 5, the court extended Musaeva's arrest for three months, until August 12. In February, she herself reported that her eyesight had deteriorated at the SIZO (pre-trial prison) where she is kept. Her son, Abubakar Yangulbaev, has stated that during his mother's stay at the SIZO, her health had deteriorated significantly; and she needed due treatment in a medical facility.
