Law enforcers take equipment away from Rostov activist

During searches at home of Tatiana Sporysheva, a Rostov activist, law enforcers took away her equipment, explaining that the searches were conducted in connection with calls for extremism.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that searches were conducted also at the home of Irina Gak, the advocate of the deceased Anatoly Berezikov, and of Tatiana Sporysheva in Rostov-on-Don.

The searches at Sporysheva's home may have to do with the information about the death of activist Anatoly Berezikov at the special temporary detention centre, Evgeny Berkovich, a lawyer, believes. "Tatiana Sporysheva has defended Berezikov in administrative cases against him," the "Rostovgazeta.ru" outlet quotes him as saying.

Let us remind you that Berezikov died at the above detention centre, where he was serving his arrest after a pacifist action. The advocate reported that he complained about law enforcers' pressure and torture. The police treat his death as suicide.
