In Krasnodar Territory, student expelled for promoting gender reassignment

Maxim Belomytsev, a student of the Kuban State University, was expelled for promoting gender reassignment on his social media page. Earlier, protocols on LGBT propaganda and discrediting the Russian Armed Forces were drawn up against him.

According to the “The LGBT + Clause” human rights project, the reason for the expulsion of the blogger from the university was makeup videos on his Instagram* page, posted several years ago. An order issued by the university administration mentions an immoral act, unacceptable by the university’s internal regulations, as the reason for the expulsion of Maxim Belomytsev from the Kuban State University.

A week ago, Maxim Belomytsev was detained by the police, and two protocols were drawn up against him under the article on propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations and gender reassignment and the article on discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

On June 19, the local publication “Zhivaya Kuban” (Kuban Alive) released a post, which included screenshots of posts from the social media page of Maxim Belomytsev with makeup, as well as a post in Ukrainian in support of Ukraine. The publication “Zhivaya Kuban” claims that the screenshots of the posts were sent by “outraged readers.”

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on December 5, 2022, the President of Russia signed the law on propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations and (or) preferences, gender reassignment, pedophilia, as well as dissemination of information among minors that demonstrates non-traditional sexual relations and (or) preferences or is capable of causing minors to desire to change sex.

On May 24, it became known that a 20-year-old resident of Volgograd was fined under the above-mentioned article, as the police discovered LGBT propaganda on his profile on a dating website.
