Conscript in Stavropol Territory punished for evading service

A court in the Stavropol Territory has imposed a fine on a draftee for evading his military service.

The 18-year-old young man has personally repeatedly received summonses to the military commissariat against his signature, but never showed up there without any good reason. A case was initiated against him under the article "Evasion of conscription for military service in the absence of legal grounds for exemption from this service", the press service of the courts of the Stavropol Territory has reported.

The Ipatovsky District Court has found the young man guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 30,000 roubles.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that four servicemen were convicted in Vladikavkaz for evading service. The military court has sentenced them from 5.5 years of freedom deprivation to service restriction.
