Number of administrative cases against Makhachkala rioters reaches 901
Dagestani courts have received 901 administrative cases of offenses during the anti-Semitic action and riots in Makhachkala, the "Mediazona"* has informed.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by November 25, 2023, Dagestani district courts had received the administrative cases initiated against 515 people accused for the riots in Makhachkala. In some cases, law enforcers drew up protocols on the events that had occurred before the riots.
A total of 872 people were charged with violating the procedure for holding actions; protocols were drawn up on other 25 persons regarding a mass gathering of people in violation of public order; and four persons were accused of violating security rules at the airport, the "Mediazona"* has added.
For most of the accused, the arrest period has been extended until the end of March, while almost no investigative actions are being carried out; and several of those arrested are prohibited from visiting. One of those arrested, Gerei Djamalutdinov, claims that he was not at the airport, and law enforcers forced him to incriminate himself, but investigators have not verified his alibi.
*On September 29, 2021, the Ministry of Justice of Russia included the LLC "ZP" (the legal entity that had established the "Mediazona") into the list of media outlets-foreign agents.
