Volgograd resident fined for his status in messenger

Sergey Lomako from Volgograd posted flags of Ichkeria and Ukraine on WhatsApp* and was fined 1000 roubles for displaying prohibited symbols.

The Nikolaevsky District Court of Volgograd found Sergey Lomako guilty of placing in his status on WhatsApp* the crossed flags of Ichkeria and Ukraine with a trident, the “OVD-Info”** reports.

Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on February 1, a resident of Volzhsky was found guilty of displaying prohibited symbols for a rainbow flag on a social network and was fined 1000 roubles.

*On March 21, 2022, the Tverskoi Court of Moscow banned the activities in Russia of the Meta Company, owning the Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, in connection with extremist activities.
