In Rostov Region, Telegram channel administrator fined for discrediting Russian Army

In the Rostov Region, a court sentenced Vladislav Kovalyov to a fine, recognizing posts on his Telegram channel as discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.

The Donetsk City Court of the Rostov Region imposed a fine of 50,000 roubles on Vladislav Kovalyov due to posts on his Telegram channel, recognizing them as discrediting the Russian Army, the “OVD-Info”* human rights project reported.

The court found that Vladislav Kovalyov is “the administrator of the Telegram channel on which photos and videos of an anti-Russian orientation are posted, and the Telegram channel also contains comments aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.”

*Included by the Russian Ministry of Justice (MoJ) into the register of foreign agents.
