Irina Skorovarova sentenced conditionally

The Taganrog City Court has sentenced Irina Skorovarova, accused of repeatedly discrediting the Russian Army, to 2.5 years and six months of probation (conditional imprisonment).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 11, 2024, law enforcers came to Skorovarova to conduct a search under a criminal case about discrediting the Russian Army. The Taganrog City Court sent her under house arrest until March 11. The appellate instance upheld the ruling.

The reason for her criminal prosecution was a video about a Russian military serviceman posted by Skorovarova in her page in the "Odnoklassniki" social network. On January 21, her advocate announced that she had been charged with discrediting the Russian Army (envisages up to five years in jail).

Skorovarova has been found guilty of repeatedly discrediting the Russian Army, the court sentenced her to 2.5 years of probation with a probationary period of two years, the "OVD-Info"* project writes with reference to Sergey Kovalevich, an advocate. Besides, she was banned from administering Internet pages for five years.
