Volzhsky resident fined in case on discrediting Russian Army

A court sentenced Vladimir Dronov, a resident of Volzhsky, to a fine, recognizing the inscription left by the defendant on a street banner depicting Russian militaries as discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.

The reason for the persecution was an inscription made by the defendant on a Russian Army banner at a bus stop, the “OVD-Info”* human rights project reported. According to the Volzhsky City Court, Vladimir Dronov wrote with a marker an inscription on the banner “depicting men in military uniform” at the public transport stop and “thereby committed public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Russian Armed Forces.”
