Mitigation of Leila Gatagazheva's restriction measure encourages her advocates
The court ruling to release Leila Gatagazheva under recognizance not to leave the place has given hope that the criminal prosecution on charges of links with militants in Syria would be dropped, her advocates have stated.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after her house arrest expired on June 17, the court released Leila Gatagazheva, a native of Ingushetia, under recognizance not to leave the place.
Her defence has hope that the criminal prosecution will be dropped, said Alaudi Musaev, one of Gatagazheva's advocates.
"The prosecutor refused to approve the indictment and returned the case to the investigator with the wording "to remove obstacles during the trial," the advocate said. In his opinion, it is not possible to remove these obstacles.
The prosecutor has put forward a number of demands for making corrections in Gatagazheva's case, Muslim Yangulbaev, another advocate, has noted, expressing doubts about investigators' objectivity.
Gatagazheva is at home with her children. She plans to undergo treatment after she restores all her documents, said her uncle Beslan Gatagazhev.
