Dagestan: blogger Yarmagomedov arrested for two months

Javier Yarmagomedov, a native of Dagestan, who had trampled a cross on live TV broadcast, has been arrested in Moscow on charges of insulting believers' feelings and trafficking in child pornography.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that law enforcers detained Yarmagomedov on charges of insulting believers' feelings. He was additionally charged with dealing in child pornography.

“Investigators have established that he distributed videos with pornographic images of minors in the messenger, including in relation to a person less than fourteen years of age,” says the Telegram channel of the Moscow general jurisdiction courts. Yarmagomedov was arrested until September 17.

In recent years, cases under the article on insulting believers' feelings have been opened more and more often, and maximum sanctions are often applied against figurants thereof, lawyers noted earlier.
