Comment in messenger turns into fine imposed on Astrakhan resident

A court in Astrakhan has fined a local resident by 30,000 roubles, treating his comment posted in a messenger as aimed at discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.

In September 2022, the 50-year-old resident of Astrakhan wrote a comment in a messenger, which, according to investigators, contained information aimed at discrediting the Russian Armed Forces, the public "Volodarsky Obozrevatel" has reported on the "VKontakte" social network.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that a court in Akhtubinsk had found the publications posted by Victor Kabakov, a pensioner, in a social network, as discrediting Russian militaries and sentenced him to a fine of 30,000 roubles.
