Residents of the Dagestani village of Kulibukhna explain reasons for their appeal to Putin
For three years already, villagers of Kulibukhna, which is part of the Tsudakhar Village Council of the Levashinsky District, have been seeking to overhaul the road along which their children walk to school, and ambulances cannot pass, the villagers have explained the reasons for their video appeal to President Putin.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the villagers' video appeal was posted on August 15. They complained that the road needs repairs, and appeals to local officials gave no fruit.
The road problems evolved in 2021, Shamil Kurshiev, the head of the local administration, has explained.
Aminat Mutaeva, a deputy principal of the school in Kulibukhna, said that a commission came, analyzed the situation, but no work was done.
"As a result, people living in the upper part of the village are cut off from civilization, or they (including schoolchildren) have to walk or drive along a bypass road after landslides – this is at least two kilometres," she said.
Let us remind you that residents of high-mountain villages in Dagestan have repeatedly complained about their road problems. Thus, this June, the dwelling settlement of Kadani in the village of Tsudakhar was cut off from the outside world after a turbulent river washed away the road to it. The communication problem with Kadani arises regularly, but officials fail to solve it, local residents have complained.
