Young people apologize for desecrating “Eternal Glory” memorial in Nevinnomyssk
A video of four young people apologizing for desecrating the “Eternal Glory” memorial in Nevinnomyssk has been posted on Telegram.
Four residents of Dagestan suspected of desecrating the “Eternal Glory” memorial have apologized, the “Mash Gor” Telegram channel reported.
“We climbed the Eternal Flame on the 10th and decided to warm up. We didn’t know that we might not step on it. I admit my mistake and want to apologize to the entire city of Nevinnomyssk,” Magomed Imiev says in the recording.
Gusen Aliev, who also apologized, said that they only wanted to “warm their feet.”
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that in March, investigators instituted a criminal case against three residents of republics neighbouring the Stavropol Territory, accusing them of desecrating the Eternal Flame in Nevinnomyssk. In October, the court sentenced all three defendants to one year of imprisonment in a penal colony.
