US Embassy in Azerbaijan resumes its work

Today all the employees of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan are at work, and all the divisions operate to the full scale. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt about it from Jonathan Henick, head of the PR Department of the US Embassy.

According to Mr Henick, the American party is satisfied with their cooperation with the law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan. Now the territory of the Embassy is guarded by armed policemen, and operative police cars are on duty near the premises.

"We've stopped an attempt of this grouping to commit terror acts against a number of state bodies, and embassies and representative offices of the countries-members of the international antiterrorist coalition," the "Interfax" quotes Arif Babaev, head of the Public Relations Centre of the Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan. "A criminal case has been initiated on the fact. Now, intensive operative and search actions are underway aimed to neutralize the remaining members of the grouping. The operative situation is under control."
