Residents of eight Dagestani villages remain without electricity

Specialists have restored power supply to four Dagestani villages; residents of eight dwelling settlements remain in the zone of emergency power outages after bad weather.

On April 8, the state of emergency was declared in the territories of the Agulsky, Akhtynsky, Dokuzparinsky, Kurakhsky and Rutulsky Districts. By the morning of April 25, twelve villages in two Dagestani districts remained in the emergency power outage zone.

As of 08:00 a.m. "emergency power outages persist" in eight dwelling settlements in two districts of Dagestan, the republic’s branch of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) has reported today on its website.

The power supply was restored in the villages of Ashar, Shtul, Kutul and Gdynk. Power engineers have restored power supply to four hard-to-reach villages of the Kurakhsky and Akhtynsky Districts, the Dagestani Ministry of Energy reported late in the evening on April 25 on its Telegram channel.

In its turn, the “Dagenergo” has reported on the delivery of backup power generators to the Akhtynsky District.
